About Me

My husband, Greg and I are mostly nerdy and quirky people. We’re the kind of people who like tabletop games, comedy, and Marvel movies, and each of our children have added so much to our family quirks! I love to knit, journal, and spend time with my family. My family puts up with my strange cooking and loud car singing and I just love it when my girls line up for henna. Primary among the things that sustain me is my faith in God, as well as my family and loved ones, and my desire to serve others and create beauty.

In 2014 I became a doula in order to help parents with the wondrous journey of birth. Following the birth of my second baby, I began researching pregnancy and birth and was inspired to become a birth doula. There are so many benefits for families who have a doula to navigate birth with them, encourage them in their choices, and help them find their resources. I truly enjoy meeting women and their partners and families, and getting to know them and what they want for birth. What you want. What you envision. What matters most to you.

The birth of your baby is this huge event that changes you. With your first baby comes the start of your parenting journey, but every single new life added to every single family grows and builds people into something new. Little girls and boys become big sisters and big brothers, parents become grandparents and you, Mom and Dad, become “someone” to a brand new little someone. I love being a concrete and helpful aid in the practical aspects of pregnancy and birth, saving space for you and your family to grow emotionally through birth.

What does matter to you? Expecting a new baby creates a lot of opportunity for questions, for uncertainty, for hopes, and I’d love to meet up with you to talk about it all!

Henna is the other side of my passion. Creating beautiful designs and perfecting my recipe and application technique have gone from hobby to passion. I have a deep appreciation for the art of henna from the various traditional styles to the newest popular trends and from learning how to mix a great paste and roll cones, to applying paste with speed and precision.

My paste is always homemade with only organic henna and a handful of natural ingredients. It never includes harmful chemicals. Feel free to ask about my ingredients and recipe any time if you have any concerns or have skin sensitivities. I want you to always be confident that you’re getting the best quality henna paste!

Ask me about creating a custom design for you and rates for parties and events. I’d love to be your artist and put your style and personality into expression!

My Photo
Hi, I'm Veronica! I'm a passionate DONA trained birth doula and a henna artist. God has blessed my wonderful husband, Greg, and I with three beautiful daughters named Josephine, Charmaine, and Maxine. I consider myself a practical minimalist and don't believe there is one number of things that defines a minimalist but rather a mindset of less. I also love knitting, writing, photography, videography, and creating beautiful things. This is my place to share that passion and the things it produces with others who may appreciate it. Welcome!
